If I had a daughter she would embrace her sensuality, never fearing her desires.

I would never let her shrink to fit societies image, only grow to her full potential. She will see the women around her as allies, part of a sisterhood, not enemies against which to contend. She would see the love her mother has for a good man, the uncles in her life who have been chosen as family, she will understand that all of these things do not mean she has to shy away from these influences. She will move mountains, if she chooses, a many faceted creature, raise to understand it is her choice, that her tongue can be both sharp and sensual.

We began this project working with female led, locally sourced brands. Julia and I have worked together for a while and wanted to create something showing the multifaceted qualities of women, whilst celebrating what we can create when we work together.

We’ve often discussed the strangeness of what we both do, feeding into the beauty ideals and sexualisation of women. However, through our collaborations and the work we do with other brands we want to celebrate women, embrace our sensuality, our strength, creativity, beauty, talent and power. We cannot speak for every woman, but this is our way of celebrating, in our city and our natural World.
